Heritage Hill is also partnering with the Salvation Army to help area citizens during the holidays. Everyone who attends A Heritage Hill Christmas with a canned food item will receive one dollar off admission.

Come visit with St. Nick while creating a Christmas craft that will become a lasting family memory.
Belgian Farmhouse
Watch as our interpreters bake holiday sugar cookies. You will get to help them and maybe take a bite! Traditional Christmas ornaments will be made in the parlor.
Officer’s Quarters
The soldiers at Fort Howard did not celebrate Christmas, however, their Officers held a holiday dinner to ring in the New Year. Watch as the turkey is baked, the potatoes are fried and plum pudding is made. How a flower pomander, a historic style of air freshener, and candles will be demonstrated.
School House
Enjoy stories of the Christmas season as read by a Heritage Hill historic interpreter. Stories will be read on the half hour beginning at 11:00 am.
Fort Howard Hospital
Participate in a Heritage Hill favorite! Historic dances of the 1800s will be demonstrated beginning at 11:00 am. You are encouraged to participate.
Library
Tour a library from the late 1800s and make orange pomanders, a typical air freshener of the period.
Print Shop
Explore printing during the 1870s while making a calendar on the Washington Press.
Blacksmith Shop
Watch a demonstration of the blacksmithing trade in our authentic shop.
Tank Cottage
Caroline Tank’s cottage has been decorated beautifully for Christmas. Visitors will be taken on a tour of this wonderful estate as well as have the opportunity to make Moravian candles. This candle is the traditional Christmas decoration of the Moravians.
