The real story of the 1930¹s…the Depression Years…how ordinary people here in Wisconsin and all over the country survived hunger and despair, how they coped and had fun, how radio, music and movies helped them escape the daily rigors of staying alive. It was a time that left its mark on everyone. You can feel it in their stories. You can hear it in their songs.
This volunteer group has been together for 13 years and has received many accolades including “Best New Original Historical Program” from the Wisconsin State historical Society in 2006. The title of their 2010 show is " Those Were the Days: Songs and Stories of the Great Depression"
