Mission of Heritage Hill Foundation
Heritage Hill Foundation exists for the charitable and education purposes of encouraging, promoting and assisting in the development of Heritage Hill State Historical Park. The Park receives only a small portion of its funding from the state. The balance comes from admissions, generous donors and Heritage Hill Foundation. The Foundation's endowment funds help finance educational programming, building preservation and general operating costs.
Funded Projects
General Operating Expenses
In addition to admission fees, grants from the Foundation help support the general operating expenses of Heritage Hill State Historical Park
Education
Each year, Cotton Club members provide generous support for interpreters at Heritage Hill. Interpreters, dressed in period clothing, bring history to life for thousands of school children and visitors.
Preservation
Heritage Hill State Historical Park was founded for the purpose of preserving historic buildings in the community in order that future generations might learn about the rich heritage of Northeastern Wisconsin. Heritage Hill State Historical Park is home to twenty eight structures that tell the stories of the founding and development of the area. Each year skilled craftsmen undertake the work that is needed to keep each building open and available for public tours.
